# Feature announcement video

A feature announcement video is a short film that shows one new capability: what it does, the problem it removes and how to use it. Launchable makes feature announcement videos from a description of the feature, so every release can ship with a film that matches your brand.

## Why most features ship without a video

- Releases happen every few weeks, and a video for each one is not realistic with an agency.
- A feature is smaller than a launch, so the film has to be focused and short.
- Changelog posts get read; films get watched and shared.

## How Launchable makes your feature announcement video

### Describe the feature, get a film

Write what changed and who it helps. Launchable turns it into a focused script.

### Consistent across releases

The same brand capture applies to every film, so your release videos look like a series.

### Show the feature itself

Attach screens of the new feature and they are animated in the storyboard.

### Short by design

Films start at 30 seconds, the right length for release notes and social posts.

### Change one frame

Update a single frame when the UI moves, without redoing the rest.

### Ready for every channel

Post it in the changelog, in-app, by email and on LinkedIn or X.

## How it works

1. **Describe your launch.** Write what you are launching: a product, a feature, an app or an event. Add your website and Launchable reads your brand: logo, colours, fonts and screenshots. You can also attach screens, a logo or video, add references from the web, or import from Figma.
2. **Answer the brief.** Four short questions: the core problem your customer has, the problems underneath it, up to three benefits with the features behind them, and optionally the process you want to show.
3. **Pick your script.** Launchable writes two script proposals from your brief. Pick one, edit it line by line, or paste your own words.
4. **Choose a style and a voice.** Choose a visual direction and a voiceover voice. Add how your brand name is pronounced so the voice says it right.
5. **Review the storyboard.** Motif, Launchable’s motion director, picks a human-made motion from the marketplace for every line of your script and adapts it to your brand: your words, your colours, your logo. Swap any motion or ask for a change, frame by frame.
6. **Get your film.** Approve the storyboard and Launchable assembles the film: 30 to 60 seconds, 16:9, with voiceover, in English or French.

## Who is it for?

- **Product marketers:** Ship release content every sprint.
- **Product managers:** Want adoption, not just a changelog entry.
- **Founders:** Tell customers the product keeps getting better.
- **Customer success teams:** Explain new features to existing customers.
